1. On August 31st, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division
received a report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident. The vehicle involved had
fled the scene. As a result of their on-scene investigation, officers identified the
involved vehicle and located the vehicle and its driver a few blocks away. At that
time, 43-year-old Henry Loza of Jersey City, NJ, was arrested for leaving the scene of
an accident and failing to report a motor vehicle accident. Mr. Loza was then
transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the
completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Loza was issued his summonses for traffic
violations and then released from police custody.
The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed
innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
