On 09/08/2025 at 2:22 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 42-year-old male, Walter Cacuango-Vasquez of the Bronx, NY for Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] by providing false information to the police. Cacuango-Vasquez was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On 09/08/2025 at 11:06 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 41-year-old male, Joseph Owens of Landisville, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of East Rutherford, NJ with no bail. Officers from the East Rutherford Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Mr. Owens for transport back to their authority.
On 09/09/2025 at 9:19 AM, Secaucus Police responded to 100 Plaza Drive on a report of a male who was acting disorderly. During the investigation, the police arrested a 30-year-old male, Mency Sanchez-Castillo of New York, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Kearny, NJ with no bail along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option. Sanchez-Castillo was also charged with Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] by providing false information to the police. Mr. Sanchez-Castillo was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 09/09/2025 at 1:28 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Kohl’s located at 3 Millcreek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 63-year-old male, Charles Gore of Jersey City, NJ along with a 54-year-old male, Darin Wade of Jersey City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. Gore was additionally charged with Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A(1)]. Mr. Gore and Mr. Wade were issued their complaint warrants and were subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 09/09/2025 at 6:16 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24-year-old female, Nakia Brown of Newark, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $1,100.00. Newark did release Ms. Brown on her own recognizance pending future court dates in relation to the 2 outstanding warrants. Brown was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and she was released from police custody.
On 09/09/2025 at 7:45 PM, Officers from the East Rutherford Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to take into custody a 27-year-old male, Brian Maldonado of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $600.00 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $200.00. Maldonado was able to post bail for the warrant issued in the amount of $600.00. Mr. Maldonado was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date in relation to the warrant issued in the amount of $200.00 and was subsequently released from police custody.
On 09/09/2025 at 11:04 PM, Officers responded to the Harrison Police Department to take into custody a 40-year-old male, Michael McCall of Jersey City, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $2,000.00 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10 % option and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $750.00. McCall was unable to post bail for the involved warrants and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 09/11/2025 at 7:35 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 39-year-old male, Gary Carrington of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Carrington was issued a motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
On 09/12/2025 at 8:22 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 43-year-old male, Mark Bell of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Fair Lawn, NJ in the amount of $650.00. Bell was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
On 09/13/2025 at 3:55 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Best Buy located at 3 Millcreek Drive on a report of possible identity theft. During the investigation, the police arrested a 37-year-old female, Virmary Baez of New York, NY for 4 counts of Identity Theft [2C:21-17A(1)], 4 counts of Possession of False Government Documents [2C:21-1.1C], 4 counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card [2C:21-6H], 3 counts of Theft by Deception [2C:20-4], Criminal Attempt to commit Theft by Deception [2C:5-1A(1)], Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police and Possession of CDS believed to be Oxycodone [2C:35-10A(1)]. Baez was also found to have 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office with no bail, 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Middlesex County with no bail, 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Marple Township Police Department in Pennsylvania with no bail, 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Rhode Island with no bail and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Ms. Baez was also charged with Being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10] for the outstanding warrant issued out of Pennsylvania and Being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10] for the outstanding warrant issued out of Rhode Island. Ms. Baez was issued her complaint warrants and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
