Hello. This is Mayor Mark Zinna with a Friday news update.

September means stories, cider, and seasonal magic at the Nature Center! Every Sunday until October 19, join in traditional Apple Cider Making. Help press apples and taste the fruits of your labor. Bring the little ones to Nature Story Time on September 20 from 10:00 am to 10:30 am for animal tales and meet a live Animal Ambassador.

Get up close with a live bird of prey at Remarkable Raptors presented in partnership with the Senior Center this Saturday from 11:00 am to Noon. Don’t miss the Fall Equinox Campfire & Night Hike on Sunday, September 21 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Gather for s’mores, a guided night hike, and a cozy fire under the stars. There’s something for every family, register now at tenaflynaturecenter.org!

ACEing Autism kicks off its fall season at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades. Beginning this Sunday September 21, at 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm, and continuing for five consecutive weeks, ACEing helps children benefit from social connections, fitness and fun. If you are interested in signing up your child ages 5 to 18 to participate, or if high school students and adults want to volunteer, please email kaplenjcc@ACEingautism.org . No tennis experience is required.

Enjoy an International potluck dinner this Sunday, September 21 at 6:00 pm. Bring along a dish and sample those of others in good company at the Presbyterian Church, 55 Magnolia Avenue.

The Presbyterian Church presents its Fall For Music Festival, Saturday, October 4, beginning at 3 pm with a fun kids sing-along workshop. Then at 4:00 pm enjoy live music and family friendly games with Nik Rael & Friends on the music stage. All free of charge. Then at 6:00 pm it’s fish and chips (or chicken and chips) $20 per person, $10 per child. Please RSVP to 201-567-0111. Finally, at 7:00 pm experience Tenafly's own Hart Family Showcase in the sanctuary at 55 Magnolia Avenue. Free of charge, donations welcome.

Mark you calendars, the Tenafly Fall Festival is Sunday, October 19 from Noon to 5:00 pm downtown by Huyler Park. Featuring costumes, an artisan market, food trucks, rides, live music and more. It will be a terrific fun family day for everyone. Several spots for local businesses and vendor participation are still available.
