On September 9, 2025, Officer Griffin stopped a 2015 Red Honda Accord at the Short Hills Mall. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of New York City on September 1, 2025. The investigation led to the arrest of the driver Yadimar Chisolm-Barrera, age 33, of Maspeth NY. She was charged with receiving stolen property.

On September 12, 2025, Millburn Police responded to VEG animal Hospital on Rt 124 on a report of property damage caused by a customer. The customer slammed the door as he was leaving causing the glass door to shatter. The investigation led to the Arrest of Victor Melamed, age 28, of Warren NJ. He was charged with criminal mischief.

On September 13, 2025, Millburn Police responded to a Cayuga Way residence on a report of a burglary that occurred. The investigation revealed that the actors gain entry through a second story window. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On September 16, 2025, Millburn Police responded to a residence on Spring Street regarding a dispute between a homeowner and a moving company whose truck was blocking the homeowner’s driveway. During the altercation, an employee of the moving company allegedly threatened the homeowner, stating, “Get out of here or I will cut you,” while brandishing a box cutter and walking toward him. Following an investigation, officers arrested Mitchell Daunce, age 65, of Tonawanda, NY. He was charged with Terroristic Threats and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.

These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty in a court of law.
