Theft
09/22/2025-Officers responded to 8-12 Franklin Street (Stop & Shop) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, on 08/29/2025, three males took several cases of Red Bull and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $200.00. This incident is under investigation.

09/22/2025-Officers responded to the area of Johnson Avenue on report of a Theft from Auto. A resident and her mother parked their vehicles on the street overnight and when they returned to them the following morning, they noticed they were rummaged through. Approximately $3.00 in loose change was missing from one of the vehicles. This incident is under investigation.

09/22/2025-Officers responded to the area of Davis Avenue on report of a Theft from Auto. A resident provided surveillance video footage of a white vehicle arriving to the area and two males pulling on door handles. The resident’s vehicle was rummaged through, however nothing was reported missing at this time. This incident is under investigation.

09/22/2025-A resident responded to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to report a Package Theft from the area of Hobson Street. According to the resident, a package was delivered on 09/07/2025 at approximately 11:00a.m. When the resident arrived home at approximately 6:00p.m., the package was missing. The package contained a Samsung Galaxy A16 cell phone valued at $399.00. This incident is under investigation.

09/23/2025-Officers responded to 60 Orange Street (Home Depot) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, two males loaded cement blocks and other items they had purchased into a work van. As they loaded the van, they also loaded eleven bags of cement, gloves and a shovel that they did not pay for. The items were valued at $96.42. This incident is under investigation.

09/24/2025-The Loss Prevention Officer from 1409 Broad Street (Shop Rite) responded to Bloomfield Police Department to report a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a male took various grocery items on 09/13/2025, 09/18/2025, and 09/22/2025. The items were valued at $373.07. This incident is under investigation.

09/24/2025-Officers responded to 331 Broad Street (CVS) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the store manager, a male took various items then left the store without paying. The items were valued at $161.02. This incident is under investigation.

09/24/2025-Rashawn Hubbard age 36 from Brooklyn, NY and Brianna McJunkin age 26 from Brooklyn, NY. Officers responded to 8-12 Franklin Street (Stop & Shop) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a male and female took various grocery items and attempted to leave the store without paying. The items were valued at $161.00. The suspects were stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer. Officers arrived and placed the suspects under arrest. The suspects were transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly.

09/25/2025-A resident responded to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to report a Package Theft from the area of Monroe Place. According to the resident, a package was delivered on 09/19/2025 at approximately 8:13a.m. When the resident arrived home, the package was missing. The package contained Pokemon cards valued at $556.00. This incident is under investigation.

09/25/2025-Officers responded to 8-12 Franklin Street (Stop & Shop) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, on 08/29/2025, a male took several grocery items and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $99.00. This incident is under investigation.

09/26/2025-Officers responded to the 100 block of Summit Avenue on report of a Theft from Auto. A resident parked his vehicle on the street overnight and when he returned to it the following morning, he noticed it was rummaged through. An Apple watch was missing from the vehicle. This incident is under investigation.

09/26/2025-Officers responded to the 200 block of Ampere Parkway on report of a Theft from Auto. A worker parked his construction van on the street at 8:30a.m. while he was working inside of a residence. When he returned to it at 3:30p.m., he noticed his wallet was missing. This incident is under investigation.

09/28/2025-While patrolling the area of 1st Avenue and North 16th Street, Officers observed a male taking clothing from inside the Good Will donation container. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly.

Motor Vehicle Theft
09/27/2025-A resident called Bloomfield Police Headquarters to report a Motor Vehicle Theft from the area of Arlington Avenue. According to the resident, her son parked his motorcycle in his assigned parking space on 08/30/2025 while he went out of town and on 09/27/2025, she noticed it was missing. The motorcycle, a blue 2008 Suzuki GSX, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.


These incidents are currently being investigated by Bloomfield Detectives. Due to the on-going investigations, information will not be released at this time. The information is released to the press at the discretion of the police department and may not represent the total scope of police activity. All persons are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
