1. On September 30th, 2025, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg
Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 55-year-old Eric M. Davis of Fort Lee,
NJ, after discovering that he had an active warrant, issued by the Ridgefield Park
Municipal Court. Mr. Davis was then transported to the Guttenberg Police
Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing,
Mr. Davis was released on his own recognizance, pending his next court appearance.
2. On September 30th, 2025, the Guttenberg Police Department was notified by the West
New York Police Department, that they had a female in their custody with an active
warrant issued by the Guttenberg Municipal Court. Shortly after, 39-year-old Ashley
N. Jennings of North Bergen, NJ, was transported to the Guttenberg Police
Department, where she was placed under arrest. Upon the completion of her arrest
processing, Ms. Jennings was released on her own recognizance, pending her next
court appearance.
3. On October 1st, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division
received reports of a theft on Bergenline Avenue. As the result of their on-scene
investigation, officers arrested 25-year-old Noe R. Ordon-Choco of Fairview, NJ, for
theft [2C:20-3A]. Mr. Ordon-Choco was transported to the Guttenberg Police
Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing,
Mr. Ordon-Choco was issued his complaint summons and then released from police
custody.
4. On October 2nd, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division
arrested 42-year-old Yoseth Diaz of North Bergen, NJ, for an active warrant, issued
by the Guttenberg Municipal Court. Mr. Diaz was transported to the Guttenberg
Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest
processing, Mr. Diaz was released on his own recognizance, pending his next court
appearance.
5. On October 3rd, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Criminal
Investigations Bureau were conducting targeted enforcement related to scooters and
e-bikes. During the enforcement detail, officers observed two individuals on a scooter,
driving on 68th Street. The driver and passenger of the scooter were both not wearing
helmets. A motor vehicle stop was attempted, but the driver and passenger on the
scooter fled the scene. A short time later, officers noticed the same two individuals on
the scooter, stopped behind another vehicle on 68th Street, near Bergenline Avenue.
As officers began approaching the scooter, the individuals attempted to flee again,
before crashing into the side of a building. At that point, the passenger of the scooter
jumped off and attempted to run on foot, as the driver attempted to drive away on the
scooter. After a brief physical altercation, Detective Lieutenant Steve Diaz and
Detective Sergeant Marcin Rysiec successfully arrested one (1) 15-year-old from
Guttenberg, NJ, and one (1) 15-year-old from West New York, NJ. During the on-scene investigation, officers uncovered that the scooter they were utilizing was stolen
from West New York, NJ. Both juveniles were charged with receiving a stolen motor
vehicle [2C:20-10.2(A)], unlawful taking of means of conveyance [2C:20-10(D)],
resisting arrest/eluding an officer [2C:29-2(B)], two (2) counts of criminal mischief
[2C:17-3], and obstructing the administration of law [2C:29-1(A)]. At the completion of
their arrest processing, both juveniles were released to their parents with summons
complaints, pending their initial court appearances.
The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed
innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
