Leaf collection season started this week. Please remember when you place your leaf piles in the street be sure there are no branches in the piles. Leaves only.
Join us in downtown Tenafly for the Fall Festival this Sunday, October 19! Kick off the day with Pilates in the Park in honor of Jeanne Rivkin at 11:00 am in Huyler Park, then join the main event from Noon to 5:00 pm for live music, food, activities, and fall fun for all ages. Don’t forget to wear your costume. The Costume Contest features three exciting categories: Best Group, Most Original, and Best DIY Costume.
The Tenafly Library Friends are thrilled to present their third concert this month, featuring world renowned violinist Elli Choi at the Tenafly library this Sunday, October 19 at 2:00 pm. This exceptionally talented violinist is a Tenafly High School graduate, who now performs throughout the world. Miss Choi's performance at the library is being generously sponsored by Tenafly resident, Dr. Louis Mandel. This very special event is free of charge and one you won't want to miss!
Mid-October brings fascinating animal encounters and outdoor wellness to the Nature Center. Join in Saturday, October 18 for Nature Story Time at 10:00 am and Hanging with the Herps at 2:00 pm. Discover reptiles and amphibians up close and unleash your curiosity. Adults, rejuvenate with Heal and Hike on Sunday, October 19 from 10:30 am to Noon. Let's Talk TPS: October Issue Newsletter" features a focus on multilingual learners, reflecting on 9/11 and exciting happenings from the start of school.
The Senior Center Pancake Breakfast is next Saturday, October 25, from 9:00 am to Noon. Everyone is invited. There will be face painting and activities for all. Tickets will be sold prior to the event and at the door. Adults $8.00 Kids $5.00.
The JCC is excited to announce their Teen Fellowship Program. This program running from October 2025 through May 2026 is a launchpad designed for teens in high school ready to step up, stand out, and spark change. This experience goes beyond the classroom and features hands-on workshops, real talk with inspiring mentors, and a crew of peers who want to make an impact just like you. Meet the Artist: NYC based artist Gwyneth Leech brings her incredible paintings of Manhattan to Tenafly, and gives a "tour" of her stunning interior murals which transformed St Mary's Cathedral in Glasgow, Scotland. Free admission at the Presbyterian Church, Sunday October 26 at 4:00 pm. No sign up needed.
Calling all singers! Join the Tenafly Community Choir and Orchestra singing excerpts from Handel’s Messiah, Faure’s Cantique de Jean Racine, Rutter’s What Sweeter Music, and Vaughan Williams’ Christmas Day and secular music of the season. Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm starting October 28 in preparation for concert on December 14 at 7:00 pm. Rehearsals and concert at the Presbyterian Church, 55 Magnolia Avenue. Light The Night, Thursday, November 6 at 6:00 pm. Join us for a moving evening of light, remembrance and community at Light the Night, a special luminary event dedicated to bringing hope and healing. Together we will honor loved ones, celebrate resilience, and shine light.
