Martin Rocchio
On October 18, 2025 at 7:55 P.M., the Secaucus Police Department’s Anti-Crime Unit was patrolling the area surrounding Wood Avenue. Detectives observed Richard Salerno sitting in the driver’s seat of his vehicle. When the Detectives approached the vehicle they located Martin Rocchio, the passenger, who appeared to be holding drug paraphernalia in his hand.
Martin Rocchio was then placed under arrest. During a search incident to his arrest, he was found in possession of over three ounces of suspected cocaine, Xanax and approximately three grams of suspected heroin. Detectives conducted a search of the vehicle and seized additional drug paraphernalia. Richard Salerno was found in possession of a quantity of cocaine and Xanax and was also placed under arrest.
“I am proud of the hard work that our Anti-Crime Unit puts forth each day in combating VICE crimes near our area hotels, ” Chief Dennis Miller said. “These committed detectives have my full support and I commend their dedication.”
Martin Rocchio, 51, of Bronx, NY is charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute Cocaine [2C:35-5b(2)], Possession with the Intent to Distribute Heroin [2C:35-5b(3)], Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance within 500 feet of a Public Park [2C:35-7.1], three counts of Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance [2C:35-10a(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphenalia [2C:36-2]. He was lodged in the Hudson County Jail.
Richard Salerno, 46, of West Harrison, NY was charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance [2C:35-10a(1)] and released pending his appearance in Court.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
