1. On October 28th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop for a male driving a scooter who committed various motor vehicle violations. The male on the scooter failed to stop and eluded our officers, driving into North Bergen. Our agency relayed this information to our surrounding jurisdictions and we were quickly notified by the North Bergen Police Department that they had located the scooter we attempted to stop. Members of our Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations Bureau immediately responded. Our officers then uncovered that the scooter was stolen from Jersey City, NJ. Given the location of the scooter in proximity to the surrounding area near 70th Street and Bergenwood Avenue, perimeter security was quickly established, during which officers discovered a backpack and shoes on a nearby rooftop. Then, a vacant property near the belongings found was observed to have a broken window, leading our officers to believe the suspect had entered that property. With the assistance of K9 officers from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office, our officers and detectives began methodically clearing the vacant property, where they located and arrested 29-year-old Felix R. Astacio-Leon of Jersey City, NJ, who was confirmed to be the driver of the stolen scooter. A subsequent search incident to his arrest led to the recovery of several capsules containing a white powdery substance, believed to be cocaine, psilocybin (mushrooms), as well as burglary tools. Mr. Astacio-Leon was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing, where he was charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle [2C:20-10.2A], possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute [2C:35-5A(1)], possession of a controlled dangerous substance [2C:35-10A(1)], eluding [2C:29-2B], possession of burglary tools [2C:5- 5A(1)], and possession of psilocybin (mushrooms) [2C:35-10A(5)]. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Astacio-Leon was issued his complaint warrant, various summonses for traffic violations, and then lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center

2. On October 29th, 2025, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 41-year-old Cupertino Ayohualalbanil of Jersey City, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. He was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Ayohualalbanil was issued numerous summonses for traffic violations and then released to the care of a responsible adult.

3. On October 30th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the area of 70th Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard after receiving a request for an officer. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 33-year-old Jose L. Sutujordon of West New York, NJ, and 35-year-old Oscar A. Diaz-Villeda of North Bergen, NJ, for simple assault [2C:12-1A(1)]. Both defendants were transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for their arrest processing. Upon the completion of their arrest processing, both defendants were issued their complaint summonses and released from police custody.

4. On October 30th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau conducted a pre-planned operation, attempting to locate an individual with an active warrant, issued by the Guttenberg Municipal Court. During their operation, detectives located 38-year-old Pedro Figueroa of Union City, NJ, and placed him under arrest for the active warrant and for driving while suspended [39:3- 40]. Detectives also arrested 40-year-old Nathali Burgos-Minaya of Union City, NJ, after discovering that she had numerous active warrants, issued by the Secaucus, North Bergen, Edgewater, and Atlantic City Municipal Courts. Upon the completion of their arrest processing, Mr. Figueroa was issued his complaint warrant and lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center. Ms. Burgos-Minaya was released on her own recognizance, pending her next court appearances.

5. On October 31st, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to Bergenline Avenue after receiving reports of a shoplifting. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 20-year-old Darlin S. Rivera-Carcamo of Guttenberg, NJ, for shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Ms. Rivera-Carcamo was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for her arrest processing. Upon the completion of her arrest processing, she was issued her complaint summons and then released from police custody.

6. On November 1st, 2025, while on patrol, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division observed a male crash his vehicle into a parked vehicle and then a fire hydrant. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 66- year-old Carlos A. Toro of North Bergen, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Toro was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Toro was issued numerous summonses for traffic violations and then released into the custody of a responsible adult.

7. On November 2nd, 2025, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 48-year-old Julio A. Estrada-Estrada of Fairview, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Estrada-Estrada was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, he was issued numerous summonses for traffic violations and then released into the custody of a responsible adult.

The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
