Theft
11/03/2025-Officers responded to the 100 block of Grove Street on report of a Theft. According to a resident, his son’s bicycle was taken from the back yard on 10/26/2025. The bicycle was valued at $800.00. This incident is under investigation.

11/03/2025-Officers responded to 60 Orange Street (Home Depot) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a male filled a shopping cart with various items and paid for them. The male then returned to the store and loaded the same items in the cart and exited the store showing the old receipt. The suspect has done this on seven different occasions. The items were valued at $9,531.00. This incident is under investigation.

11/03/2025-Leyasha Butler age 44 of Montclair NJ. Officers responded to 135 Bloomfield Avenue (Staples) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the store manager, a female took several cans of computer duster spray and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $139.43. Officers were able to locate the suspect nearby and placed her under arrest. The suspect was transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly.

11/04/2025-Mohammed Osman age 34 of Bayonne NJ and Samir Shaban age 34 of Jersey City NJ. Officers responded to 60 Orange Street (Home Depot) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, two males took several power tools and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $896.00. Officers were able to locate the suspects nearby and placed them under arrest. The suspects were transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly.

11/04/2025-Sergio Zequeira age 59 of Little Ferry NJ and Jhon Ayala age 46 of Union City NJ. Officers responded to 60 Orange Street (Home Depot) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, two males paid for several construction items and left the store. The items were valued at $1,648.00. The males then returned to the store and loaded the same items in the cart and exited the store showing the old receipt. The males have done this on several prior occasions. The items were valued at $9,531.00. The suspects were stopped by Officers and placed under arrest. The suspects were transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly.

11/04/2025-Officers responded to the area of Irving Terrace on report of a Theft from Auto. A resident noticed that his credit card was missing from his vehicle. This incident is under investigation.

11/04/2025-Officers responded to 331 Broad Street (CVS) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a male took a bottle of eye drops and left the store without paying. The item was valued at $9.59. This incident is under investigation.

11/04/2025-A resident responded to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to report a Package Theft from the area of Lackawanna Plaza. A resident received a notification that a package was delivered, however when she returned home, the package was missing. The package contained baby shoes valued at $141.97. This incident is under investigation.

11/05/2025-Officers responded to 122 Bloomfield Avenue (7-Eleven) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a female took chocolate bars and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $22.99. This incident is under investigation.

11/05/2025-Officers responded to 312 Glenwood Avenue (Food Town) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a male took markers and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $30.00. This incident is under investigation.

11/05/2025-Officers responded to 600 Bloomfield Avenue (Dollar General) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a male took diapers and Tylenol and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $100.00. This incident is under investigation.

11/06/2025-Officers responded to 8 Franklin Street (Stop & Shop) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a the Loss Prevention Officer, two females and a male filled a shopping cart with grocery items and attempted to leave the store without paying, however, the shopping cart locked up due to non-payment. The items were valued at $446.13. This incident is under investigation.

11/06/2025-A resident responded to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to report a Package Theft from the area of Ampere Parkway. A resident received a notification that a package was delivered, however, when she returned home, the package was missing. The package contained clothing valued at $88.69. This incident is under investigation.

11/06/2025-A resident responded to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to report a Package Theft from the area of MacArthur Avenue. A resident received a notification that a package was delivered, however, when she returned home, the package was missing. The package contained clothing and a wig valued at $214.02. This incident is under investigation.

11/07/2025-Officers responded to 8-12 Franklin Street (Marshalls) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a female placed several items in a bag and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $144.90. This incident is under investigation.

11/07/2025-Officers responded to 135 Bloomfield Avenue (Staples) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a male took a document scanner and left the store without paying. The item was valued at $134.00. This incident is under investigation.

11/07/2025-Officers responded to 331 Broad Street (CVS) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a female took five bottles of Dove Shampoo and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $58.95. This incident is under investigation.

11/07/2025-Officers responded to 8-12 Franklin Street (Marshalls) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, two males placed several pairs of sneakers in a bag and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $209.97. This incident is under investigation

11/08/2025-Officers responded to 600 Bloomfield Avenue (Dollar General) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a female took several miscellaneous items and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $36.68. This incident is under investigation.

11/09/2025-Officers responded to 600 Bloomfield Avenue (Dollar General) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a female took several ear bud headphones and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $100.00. This incident is under investigation.


These incidents are currently being investigated by Bloomfield Detectives. Due to the on-going investigations, information will not be released at this time.
