1. On November 3rd, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the area of 68th Street and Bergenline Avenue after receiving reports of a shoplifting. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 20-year-old Darlin S. Rivera-Carcamo of Guttenberg, NJ, for shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Ms. Rivera-Carcamo was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for her arrest processing. Upon the completion of her arrest processing, Ms. Rivera-Carcamo was issued her complaint warrant and lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center.

2. On November 7th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the area of 70th Street and Park Avenue after receiving reports of a shoplifting. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 25-year-old Anthony P. Brown of North Bergen, NJ, for shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Mr. Brown was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Brown was issued his complaint summons and then released from police custody.

3. On November 7th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the area of 68th Street and Bergenline Avenue after receiving reports of a motor vehicle accident. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 27-year-old Nelson R. Escobar-Mejia of Union City, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Escobar-Mejia was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Escobar-Mejia was issued numerous summonses for traffic violations and then released into the care of staff from the Palisades Medical Center.

4. On November 8th, 2025, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 36-year-old Victor J. Rondon of Paterson, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Rondon was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Rondon was issued numerous summonses for traffic violations and then released into the care of a responsible adult.

5. On November 8th, 2025, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 31-year-old Justin F. Cortez of Leonia, NJ, after discovering that he had an active warrant, issued by the Guttenberg Municipal Court. Mr. Cortez was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Cortez was released on his own recognizance, pending his next court appearance with the Guttenberg Municipal Court.

6. On November 9th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division observed a physical altercation unfolding between two males on the 500 block of 70th Street. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 31-year-old Milton O. Lindao-Layana of Marlborough, MA, and 24-year-old Erick B. Tumux of Fairview, NJ, for simple assault [2C:12-1A(1)]. Mr. Tumux was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance [2C:35-10A(1)] and failure to make lawful disposition [2C:35-10C]. Both males were transported to and processed at the Guttenberg Police Department. Upon the completion of their arrest processing, both defendants were issued their complaint summonses and released from police custody.

The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
