Congratulations to the Tenafly High School Varsity Boys Soccer Team on a phenomenal season. The boys finished their season with an record of 17-2. They were undefeated 17-0 in their regular season--the first time they have done this in 30 years. Congrats to Coaches Carrasquilla and Hollis on their successful leadership. Congrats to the Seniors; Peter Bell De Miguel, Roan Drabo, Ethan Herrera, James Jung, Ori Oelsner, Jeffrey Rico, Max Romanov, Ethan Schwartz, Nikhil Seth and Davin Shin, and to the entire team.
We are hosting a ribbon cutting celebrating the opening of one of our new completely rebuilt tennis courts in Roosevelt Common at 9:00 am this Saturday. Thank you to all our Borough Hall and Public Works teams, and professionals that made this happen!
November at the Nature Center is all about discovery and growth! Bring your little ones to Nature Story Time on November 15 for fun stories and family connection. For adventure seekers, join our Trail Running Essentials workshop on November 30 to build your outdoor skills. Register now for Recreation Junior Tiger Wrestling, grades 1st to 8th boys and girls. Recreation Winter Program, Sports & Event Guide will be available on November 15. Join in for a special event featuring world-class artists. Pianist Vassily Primakov and violinist Filip Pogady will be joined by cellist and Artistic Director Ani Kalayjian for the first of the new Carriage House Concerts series. The program will feature works by Tchaikovsky, Arensky, and more! Save the date: Sunday, November 16 at 5:00 pm in the Old Stone Chapel, 55 Magnolia Avenue. Tickets are $30, and students under 18 are free.
Calling all singers! Join the Tenafly Community Choir and Orchestra to sing excerpts from Handel’s Messiah, Faure’s Cantique de Jean Racine, Rutter’s What Sweeter Music, Holst’s Christmas Day, and secular music of the season. Rehearsals have started, Tuesdays from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm (except Monday of Thanksgiving week), in preparation for the concert on December 14 at 7:00 pm. Rehearsals and the concert will be held at the Presbyterian Church, 55 Magnolia Avenue. Please RSVP at 201-567-0111.
