Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Officer-In-Charge Patrick
Murray announce that on November 22, 2025, at approximately 11:06 p.m., the Paterson Police
Department responded to the area of Cianci Street and Market Street on a reported motor vehicle
collision. Upon arrival, officers located two individuals with significant bodily injuries. The
individuals were operating a black Moped and collided with a tractor trailer. The passengers on
the Moped were taken to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center. One of the occupants, an
unidentified male, was pronounced deceased. The other occupant, a juvenile, is in critical
condition.
This investigation is active and ongoing. More information will be released when it becomes
available.
