Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 43-year-old CHRISTOPHER J. GREIG of Hawthorne, NJ, on multiple counts of the charge of cyber-harassment. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck, and the Glen Rock Police Department, under the direction of Dean Ackermann.

In September 2025, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit was alerted to a pattern of obscene, online messages sent to various victims. The investigation revealed that CHRISTOPHER J. GREIG used the internet to send pornography and obscene messages to seven victims on numerous occasions from July 2025 through September 2025.

As a result of the investigation, on November 21, 2025, GREIG was charged with seven counts of fourth-degree cyber-harassment, N.J.S.A. 2C:33-4.1(a)(2), and an arrest warrant was issued.

On Saturday, November 22, 2025, the Glen Rock Police Department located CHRISTOPHER J. GREIG and arrested him. GREIG was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Musella thanks the Glen Rock and Hawthorne Police Departments for their assistance.
