Theft
12/01/2025-Officers responded to the 100 block of Grove Street on
report of a Theft. A resident chained his e-bike to a post in front of the
residence and when he returned, he noticed it was missing. The e-bike
was valued at $600.00. This incident is under investigation.
12/01/2025-Evander Nina age 34 of Belleville NJ. Officers responded
to 8-12 Franklin Street (Marshalls) on report of a Shoplifting.
According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a male concealed various
articles of men’s clothing and attempted to leave the store without
paying. The items were valued at $84.97. The suspect was stopped by
the Loss Prevention Officer. Officers arrived and placed the suspect
under arrest. The suspect was transported to Bloomfield Police
Headquarters to be processed accordingly.
12/01/2025-Officers responded to 17 Belleville Avenue (Walgreen’s)
on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, two females
concealed hair products in a bag and left the store without paying. The
items were valued at $584.21. This incident is under investigation.
12/02/2025-Mason Barr age 45 of Newark NJ. Officers responded to
60 Orange Street (Home Depot) on report of a Shoplifting. According
to the Loss Prevention Officer, a male took two DeWalt drills and
attempted to leave the store without paying. The items were valued at
$198.00. The suspect was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer.
Officers arrived and placed the suspect under arrest. The suspect was
transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed
accordingly.
12/03/2025-Officers responded to 135 Bloomfield Avenue (Staples) on
report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a male took a
storage safe from the display and left the store without paying. The item
was valued at $59.99. This incident is under investigation.
12/04/2025-Officers responded to 17 Belleville Avenue (Walgreen’s)
on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a female took
several food products and left the store without paying. This incident is
under investigation.
12/04/2025-Officers responded to 17 Belleville Avenue (Walgreen’s)
on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a female took
baby formula and left the store without paying. This incident is under
investigation.
12/06/2025-Officers responded to the area of Watsessing Avenue on
report of a Package Theft. According to a resident, a package was taken
from her front porch. The package contained lotions and was valued at
$58.00. This incident is under investigation.
12/06/2025-Officers responded to the area of Willard Avenue on
report of a Theft from Auto. According to a resident, surveillance
cameras captured three males entering his vehicle and taking a bag from
the trunk. The bag contained clothing, a wallet, bank cards and $370.00.
This incident is under investigation.
12/07/2025-Officers responded to 122 Bloomfield Avenue (7-Eleven)
on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a female paid
for other items but concealed a box of cereal and left the store. The item
was valued at $2.59. This incident is under investigation.
12/07/2025-Officers responded to 8-12 Franklin Street (Marshalls) on
report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a
female took a winter coat from the display rack and left the store without
paying. The item was valued at $69.69. This incident is under
investigation.
Burglary
12/01/2025-Officers responded to 211 Grove Street (iStorage) on
report of a Burglary. The complainant arrived at her storage unit and
noticed two coats and two pairs of high end shoes missing. The items
were valued at $4,450.00. This incident is under investigation.
12/06/2025-Officers responded to the 100 block of Montgomery Street
on report of a Burglary. A resident was woken up by three males
attempting to break into her residence through the rear door. When
unsuccessful, the males attempted to enter the resident’s two vehicles
that were parked in the driveway. This incident is under investigation.
These incidents are currently being investigated by Bloomfield Detectives. Due to
the on-going investigations, information will not be released at this time. The
information is released to the press at the discretion of the police department and
may not represent the total scope of police activity. All persons are presumed
innocent unless proven guilty.
