1. On December 9, 2025, at 8:29 AM, the Guttenberg Police arrested a 26-year-old
female, Yolanda Perez of Guttenberg, NJ after discovering that she had an active
warrant, issued by the Guttenberg Municipal Court in the amount of $550.00. Perez
was brought in front of the Guttenberg Municipal Court Judge, where she was later
released own her own recognizance.
2. On December 13, 2025, at 1:57 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Guttenberg Police
arrested Selvin Saban-Cax, 33-year-old male, of Palisades Park, NJ for Driving While
Intoxicated [39:4-50]. He was issued four motor vehicle summonses and transported
to Palisades Medical Center.
3. On December 14, 2025, at 12:25 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Guttenberg Police
arrested a 36-year-old male, Joel Lanta-Chapiro of Garfield, NJ, for 1 outstanding
warrant issued out of the Old Bridge Municipal Court in the amount of $750.00.
Rodriguez-Ortiz was released on his own recognizance and issued a new court date in
Old Bridge Municipal Court.
4. On December 14, 2025, at 12:33 AM, the Guttenberg Police responded to M Bar &
Restaurant after receiving a report about an unwanted patron. Upon arrival, officers
spoke with the establishment’s management, who explained that there was a
customer they no longer wished to have on the premises. Officers then informed
Abdellatif Njim, a 55-year-old male from Jersey City, that he was being trespassed
from the establishment. Despite being told multiple times to leave, Njim refused to
comply. As a result, he was arrested and charged with Defiant Trespassing [2C:18-
3b(1)]. He was issued a complaint summons and subsequently released from police
custody.
5. On December 14, 2025, at 2:56 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Guttenberg Police
arrested Jose Soriano, 55-year-old male, of Passaic, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated
[39:4-50]. He was issued two motor vehicle summonses and released into the custody
of a responsible adult.
The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed
innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
