TENAFLY, NEW JERSEY
News Update from the Mayor
December 19, 2025
Hello. This is Mayor Mark Zinna with a Friday news update.
As we approach the winter solstice, the Nature Center is offering two special events. Little ones can enjoy Nature Story Time on Saturday, December 20 at 10:00 am, featuring a visit from an Animal Ambassador. Then on Sunday, December 21, head over for the Winter Solstice Night Hike and Campfire from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm - complete with s’mores and a cozy celebration of the season. To participate in these seasonal favorites, be sure to register today at tenaflynaturecenter.org!
Even though it’s wintertime, it is not to early to start thinking about signing up for a fun summer at the Tenafly Municipal Pool. Signups begin in mid January, details to follow.
Join Emmy nominated and former Tenafly resident Nora Neus in a conversation about her new book: 24 hours at the Capitol: An Oral History of January 4th. At the Presbyterian Church, 55 Magnolia Avenue on Sunday, January 11 at 4:30 pm. Free of charge.
Join in the Scottish Night in Celebration of Robert Burns – an evening of stories, bagpiping, singing, dancing, poetry, and tastes of Scotland in this tartan-clad highlight of the Tenafly calendar. At the Presbyterian Church on Saturday, January 24 at 5 pm.
And for everyone celebrating, please have a very merry and joyous Christmas!
