Administrative Assistant – Full Time
Borough of Westwood, Bergen County
The Borough of Westwood is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual for a full-time Administrative Assistant position providing diversified administrative support to the Borough Administrator, Municipal Clerk, Finance Department, and Parking Utility. Duties include extensive public contact; preparation and processing of correspondence and municipal documents; records management; scheduling and meeting support; processing licenses, permits, OPRA requests, and election-related materials; basic bookkeeping, payment processing, data entry, billing support; hangtag processing; website and social media updates; and administrative support for special projects, boards, and committees.
Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred); a minimum of two (2) years of administrative or customer service experience (municipal experience preferred); proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills; and the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Knowledge of New Jersey municipal operations preferred.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, within the range of $36,000 - $50,000. Comprehensive benefits package offered.
