Hoboken Police Arrest Blotter: November 27 to December 3, 2025

1. On Nov. 27, 2025, at approximately 1:05 a.m., Police Officers Michael Miranda and Zackary Guido were on patrol, when they saw four people in a physical altercation near the intersection of River Street and Hudson Place. They exited their vehicle and broke up the fight. One of the individuals, later identified as 21-year-old Brandon Hernandez of Jersey City, began pulling away from the officers, and continued to do so while they placed him in handcuffs. Sgt. John Quinones and Police Officers Aidan Gonzalez, Trevor Thomas, and Donovan Ortiz arrived on the scene to assist. Another individual, later identified as 29-year-old Argenis Hernandez of Jersey City, began yelling, cursing, and purposely walking into officers. When one of the officers put his arms out to stop him, he swatted the officers' hands away in a forceful manner. He was placed under arrest, and began to resist, when officers were attempting to handcuff him. Both men were ultimately taken transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. Brandon Hernandez was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, processed, and released on summons. Argenis Hernandez was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. He was processed and released on summons.

2. On Nov. 27, 2025, at approximately 1:15 a.m. Sgt. John Quinones, and Police Officers Keven De La Cruz and Brian Kim responded to Garage G, 315 Hudson St., on reports of a driver trying to leave the garage without paying. An on-scene investigation revealed a man, later identified as 34-year-old Adam Ali of Cliffside Park, physically lifted the gate to exit the garage, breaking it, causing approximately $700 in damage. Ali was arrested for criminal mischief, transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, processed, and released on summons.

3. On Nov. 28, 2025, at approximately 7 a.m., Police Officers Thomas Graziano and Zackary Guido were on patrol on the 300 block of Jackson Street, when they observed a man they could recognize as 51-year-old Phillip Realpe of Jersey City and believed he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The warrant out of Clifton was confirmed. Realpe was arrested and a search incident to arrest located a metallic push rod, two empty wax folds, and a white crystalized rock suspected to be CDS. Realpe was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and processed on charges of possession of CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

4. On Nov. 28, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Police Officers John Rodriguez, Valentino Salgado, and Leroy Sherill responded to the Hoboken Shelter, 300 Bloomfield St., on reports of a fight. When they arrived, they saw a man, later identified as 37-year-old Harol Amao of Union City, standing outside. An on-scene investigation revealed Amao was the aggressor in a fight with another person at the shelter. He gave officers a false name at first. He was told he was banned from the Shelter and if he returned, he would be arrested. At approximately 7 p.m. that night, officers responded back to the shelter, on reports that Amao was harassing other residents. Amao was ultimately arrested for disorderly conduct and hindering apprehension. He was released on summons.

5. On Nov. 28, 2025, at approximately 8:20 p.m., Police Officers Alexander Miller and Leroy Sherrill responded to the 1300 block of Washington Street, on reports of a dispute. An on-scene investigation revealed a man, later identified as 49-year-old Gary Key, of Hoboken, got into an argument with another resident and slapped the other person. Key was located within the building and tried to go into his apartment as officers were trying to speak with him, even after he was told not to. Police Officer Nicholas Losurdo arrived to assist. Key spit at one of the officers trying to keep him from going inside his apartment, hitting the officer in the face and chest area. Key was arrested and resisted being put into handcuffs. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where he exposed himself and performed a lewd act in the processing room. He refused to be fingerprinted and photographed. While being transported to an area hospital, he spit at another officer, hitting him in the head. Key was charged with aggravated assault, obstructing the administration of the law, resisting arrest, lewdness, and refusal to fingerprint. He was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

6. On Nov. 28, 2025, at approximately 8:40 p.m., Police Officer Marvin De Jesus responded to Hoboken Police Headquarters to take custody of 39-year-old Alysha Noel of Jersey City, who was transported to HPD by Union City Police. Noel had an outstanding New Jersey Transit warrant issued for a violation in Hoboken for shoplifting and public consumption of alcoholic beverages. After being processed, she was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

7. On Nov. 28, 2025, at approximately 9:05 p.m., Police Officers Alyssa Rivera and Marvin DeJesus responded to the area of Second and Grand Streets on reports of someone breaking into a vehicle. While responding, officers observed a man who fit the description of the actor and stopped him. The individual, later identified as 33-year-old Orlando Rodriguez of Hoboken, was confirmed to be the actor. He was arrested and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. Rodriguez was charged with burglary, processed, and ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

8. On Nov. 28, 2025, at approximately 11:55 p.m., Police Officer Leroy Sherril observed an individual stumble in the street, in the area of Fourth and River Streets. Police Officer John Rodriguez arrived to assist. While waiting for an ambulance, the man, later identified as Robert Larkin, began to yell and scream. He was ordered multiple times to calm down, but he became erratic, at one point crouching down as if he was going to jump at the officers. He continued to scream incoherently in front of a large apartment complex. Larkin was arrested for disorderly conduct. Police Officers Ronald Kibitlewski and Thomas Graziano arrived to assist. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, and then to an area hospital, where he was released with a summons.

9. On Nov. 29, 2025, at approximately 1:40 p.m., Police Officers Jonathan Figueroa and Jessica Pizanie responded to the 200 block of Jackson Street on reports of a man passed out. They located the man, who they could identify as 34-year-old Angel Lopez-Sierra of Hoboken, slumped over inside the building, which he did not live in. It was discovered he had a warrant out of Weehawken and he was arrested. A search incident to arrest found Lopez-Sierra to be in possession of a broken cylindrical pipe with copper wiring and burnt ends and a wax fold. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and defiant trespassing. Lopez-Sierra was transported to an area hospital, given a summons, and ultimately taken into custody by Weehawken police.

10. On Nov. 30, 2025, at approximately 6:20 a.m., Police Officers Zachary Guido and Michael Miranda were on patrol on the 100 block of Fifth Street and observed a vehicle with someone passed out and bent over in the driver’s seat. Officers approached the driver and woke him up. Once the driver woke up, he was asked several times to roll down the window, which he could not do and instead opened the driver’s side door. Officers detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from within the vehicle and could see the keys in the ignition. The driver was identified as 29-year-old Grayson Choe of Tenafly. A standardized field sobriety test was performed, after which Choe was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and issued a summons for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and refusal to submit to breath testing. As per John’s Law, Choe was released into custody of a responsible party.

11. On Dec. 1, 2025, at approximately 12:50 a.m., Police Officers Thomas Graziano and Ronald Kibitlewski were on Hudson Street near Fourth Street, when they observed a vehicle turn the wrong way onto Hudson Street, almost colliding with the patrol car. They made contact with the driver, later identified as 31-year-old Muhammed Kocaman of Parsippany, and observed him to have slurred speech, glossy bloodshot eyes, and a faint odor of alcoholic beverages emanating from his breath. Sgt. Michael Straten and Police Officer Domenick Allegretta arrived on the scene, and a field sobriety test was performed. It was determined that Kocaman was unable to safely operate a motor vehicle and was arrested for driving while intoxicated. A search of his car located two opened beer bottles, partially consumed. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters for processing. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, driving the wrong way on a one-way street, open container of alcohol. As per John’s Law, Kocaman was released on summons, into the custody of a responsible party.

12. On Dec. 1, 2025, at approximately 4:20 a.m., Police Officers Donovan Ortiz and Anish Bhisey were on patrol and conducted a random plate inquiry of a vehicle, which found that the registered owner had a suspended driver’s license. They stopped the car on the 400 block of Seventh Street. The driver, later identified as 31-year-old James Anderson of Jersey City, was not the owner of the vehicle, but it was discovered he also had a suspended license. It was also determined that Anderson had an active warrant for his arrest from Bayonne. He was arrested on the warrant and issued a summons for driving with a suspended driver's license. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters for processing. Anderson was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

13. On Dec. 2, 2025, at approximately 11:50 a.m., Police Officers Marc Lombardi and Dylan Archilla responded to Hoboken City Hall, 94 Washington St., where an individual, identified as 37-year-old James Fields of Hoboken, was being held for the violation of contempt of court. Fields was arrested, transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, and processed. He was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

14. On Dec. 2, 2025, at approximately 7:05 p.m., Police Officers David Smentkowski and Matthew Bonanno responded to a Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) building on the 600 block of Sixth Street on reports of individuals knocking on doors. When they arrived, they saw two men who fit the description of the actors. They were identified as 23-year-old Jason Garcia of West New York and 21-year-old Javier Soriano of West New York, and it was determined they did not live in the building and could not produce a valid reason for being inside the HHA building. They were both arrested for defiant trespassing. A search of Garcia located a glass pipe, a thin metal stick, and a white straw cut in a manner to inhale CDS, a cellophane bag with a white rocky substance inside, and a wax fold containing a brown powdery substance. A search of Soriano located a crack pipe and a push rod. Both men were transferred to Hoboken Police Headquarters, where officers observed Soriano wasn’t fully opening his mouth while speaking. They searched his mouth and found a cellophane bag containing a white substance suspected to be CDS. He spit it out. A further search of his jacket revealed two empty wax folds and a small cap with white residue inside. Soriano was charged on a summons with tampering with physical evidence, possession of CDS, defiant trespassing, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He had a warrant out of Weehawken. Garcia was charged with possession of CDS heroin, possession of CDS crack cocaine, defiant trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia. After processing, both Garcia and Soriano were released with summonses and court dates.

15. On Dec. 2, 2025, at approximately 8:35 p.m.., Police Officer Marvin De Jesus and William Vera responded to ShopRite, 900 Madison St., on reports of a shoplifting where the actor was detained by security staff. An on-scene investigation revealed a man, identified as 35-year-old Jonathan Walker of Hoboken, concealed numerous items inside a bag, but when he got to the check-out counter, he didn’t scan anything in the bag. When he tried to leave, he was stopped by security. He was arrested for shoplifting and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. After processing, he was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

16. On Dec. 3, 2025, at approximately 11:40 a.m., Police Officers Daniela Simone and Keven De La Cruz responded to the Morris County Correctional Facility to take custody of 28-year-old Hansel Balanta of Elizabeth and transport him to Hoboken Police Headquarters for processing on a warrant generated by New Jersey Transit Police. He was found to have three other warrants; one out of Union Township and two out of Linden. After processing, he was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
