Warrent Arrests
On December 15th, at approximately 0053 hours, while patrolling Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S, a random license plate inquiry was conducted on a white 2010 Ford by PO Rueda. The inquiry revealed the registered owner, Felix R. Llanovaldez, had an active warrant out of Hardyston for $1,250. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at Riverbend Dr. and Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S. Mr. Llanovaldez was informed of the warrant and placed under arrest without incident.
At approximately 6 PM on December 15, 2025, P.O. Daniel Soltis, while assigned to a DWI Grant Detail, conducted a motor vehicle stop near Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard South and Jersey Street after observing a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Shannell Williams. A records check revealed multiple active ATS warrants from several jurisdictions. Ms. Williams was advised of the warrants and placed under arrest without incident. P.O. Anthony Cecere responded to assist. Ms. Williams was transported to Harrison Police Headquarters for processing. She was later released on her own recognizance after receiving new court dates from the issuing jurisdictions and was issued motor vehicle summonses.
At approximately 7 PM, on December 16, 2025, P.O. Anthony Cecere conducted a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven on Passaic Avenue after a random license plate inquiry revealed an active ATS warrant issued out of Springfield Township. The driver was identified as Julio C. Gonzalez-Perez. He was advised of the warrant and placed under arrest. P.O. Alex Naprawa, P.O. Santiago Gomez, and Sgt. Iker Bermudez responded to assist on scene. A search incident to arrest was conducted and yielded negative results for contraband. Mr. Gonzalez-Perez was transported to Harrison Police Headquarters for processing. Bail was later posted on his behalf, and he was released without incident.
At approximately 10:30 PM on December 16, 2025, Det. Sgt. Freddy Lecca conducted a motor vehicle stop near Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard South and Riverbend Drive due to equipment violations. P.O. Alex Naprawa responded to assist. The driver was identified as Steve Ocasio. A records check revealed an active warrant issued out of Paterson. Mr. Ocasio was advised of the warrant and placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest was conducted and yielded negative results for contraband. Mr. Ocasio was transported to Harrison Police Headquarters for processing. Paterson Police Department was notified and released him on his own recognizance with instructions to contact them for a new court date.
At 7:30 PM on December 19, 2025, while on patrol, PO Burgo conducted a random license plate inquiry on a 2010 black Kia, which returned to a suspended registered owner with two active warrants. A motor vehicle stop was conducted, and the driver was confirmed as the registered owner, Santita J. Goode. Further checks confirmed active warrants out of Woodbridge for $1,000 and Newark for $1,000 with Ms. Goode was advised of the warrants and placed under arrest without incident and later released after posting bail.
At 3:29 AM on December 20, 2025, while on patrol, PO Burgo observed a 2011 black Hyundai traveling in the middle of both eastbound lanes and failing to maintain its lane. A motor vehicle stop was conducted, and it was learned the vehicle’s registration was expired. The driver was identified as Olin C. Thompson Jr. A records check revealed an active warrant out of Linden in the amount of $1000. Mr. Thompson was advised of the warrant and placed under arrest without incident. He was later released after posting bail.
At 10:57 PM on December 20, 2025, while on patrol, PO Nash observed a black GMC operating without headlights during required hours. A motor vehicle stop was conducted, and the driver was identified as Miguel Chimbo-Maldonaldo, who was unable to produce a driver’s license, registration, or proof of insurance. A records check revealed no valid driver’s license and an active warrant out of Franklin Township for $750. Mr. Chimbo-Maldonaldo was advised of the warrant and placed under arrest without incident.
At 10:24 PM on December 21, 2025, while on patrol, PO Burgo conducted a random license plate inquiry on a 2019 black Audi, which returned to a registered owner with an active warrant out of Irvington for $750. A motor vehicle stop was conducted, and the driver was confirmed as the registered owner, Lawson I. Nzegwu. After confirming no additional wants or warrants, Mr. Nzegwu was advised of the active warrant and placed under arrest without incident.
DUI Arrest
At 2:49 AM on December 20, 2025, PO Maitin observed a Chrysler traveling without lighted lamps and failing to maintain its lane. A motor vehicle stop was conducted, and the driver was identified as Mr. Jose Camacho. During the investigation, officers detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from Mr. Camacho’s breath, observed watery eyes, and located an open container of beer inside the vehicle. Standardized field sobriety tests were administered, which Mr. Camacho was unable to complete satisfactorily. Mr. Camacho was then placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.
