Join the Reading Revolution! The Sussex County Library System (SCLS) invites readers of all ages to participate in its 2026 Winter Reading Challenge, Reading Revolution. The challenge runs the entire month of February and requires no advance registration. Participants simply read or listen to books or magazines, submit raffle tickets, and qualify for prizes.
How to Participate: No Registration Required: Find your favorite reading material and start reading on February 1. All Ages Welcome: From babies to seniors, everyone can take part. Submit Tickets: Visit your local branch to submit raffle tickets from Monday, February 2 through Saturday, February 28.
Prizes: There will be one winner in each age group at every SCLS location. Adult participants will qualify for a Winter Reading Bundle: an SCLS foldable tote, campfire mug and $25 Weis Markets gift card. Children ages 0-12 and teens ages 13-18 will qualify for an SCLS foldable tote, campfire mug and a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card. In addition, children will receive a bonus gift courtesy of Highlights magazine when they return their first raffle ticket, while supplies last.
Participation is open to SCLS cardholders of all ages. The Winter Reading Challenge runs February 1-28, 2026. Prize winners will be contacted in early March. For full details and official rules, visit sussexcountylibrary.org/winter-reading.
