Man Charged With Lodi Home Invasion and Sexual Assault

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 27-year-old VALENTINO TUSHA of Prospect Park, NJ on charges of home invasion burglary, aggravated sexual assault, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Jeff Angermeyer, and the Lodi Police Department, under the direction of Chief Donald Scorzetti.

On Sunday, February 8, 2026, the Lodi Police Department notified the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit of an alleged aggravated sexual assault. Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Office responded to the scene and joined the investigation. Detectives determined that VALENTINO TUSHA unlawfully entered the home of an acquaintance and sexually assaulted the victim at knifepoint.

As a result of the investigation, on Sunday, February 8, 2026, VALENTINO TUSHA was charged with two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(3) and N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(4); first-degree home invasion burglary, N.J.S.A. 2C:18-2.1; and third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4d.

Later that day, Sunday, February 8, 2026, with the assistance of the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team, VALENTINO TUSHA was located and arrested in Prospect Park (Passaic County), NJ without incident. TUSHA was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Mark Musella states that the charges are merely accusations, and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would like to thank the Lodi Police Department for its assistance in this investigation. Moreover, he thanks the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team and the Prospect Park Police Department for their assistance with the apprehension of the defendant.
