Local Man Shot in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray announce that at approximately 4:12 p.m. on February 21, 2026, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Hamilton Avenue and Rosa Parks Boulevard on a report of a shooting. Police located a 28-year-old male victim from Paterson, suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound. The victim was transported to St. Jospeh’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound. Members of the Paterson Police Department located a potential crime scene.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
