Jobeth Manga
The Secaucus Police Department Traffic Bureau arrested and charged 21-year-old Jobeth Manga of Secaucus on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in connection with a two-car motor vehicle crash that resulted in serious bodily injury.
On January 13, 2026, the Secaucus Police Department responded to County Avenue at the intersection with the UPS employee parking lot on a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a 2023 Tesla Model 3 operated by Jobeth Manga and a 2024 Hyundai Kona. The driver of the Hyundai Kona sustained serious bodily injuries as a result of the collision.
Responding officers observed the Hyundai with heavy front-end damage and the Tesla with damage to the front driver-side quarter panel.
The investigation determined that prior to the crash, the Tesla was traveling southbound on County Avenue when it struck the Hyundai, which was attempting to make a left turn into the UPS parking lot from the northbound lanes of traffic.
Jobeth Manga and his front-seat passenger were evaluated by EMS at the scene for minor injuries. The driver of the Hyundai Kona was transported by ambulance to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment for injuries sustained in the crash.
An investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Traffic Bureau, with assistance from the Hudson County Regional Crash Investigation Team, determined that Manga was operating his Tesla recklessly and traveling at nearly triple the posted speed limit on County Avenue, a 25 mph zone. Investigators determined that the excessive speed and reckless driving caused the crash that resulted in serious injuries to the driver of the Hyundai Kona.
The crash investigation was led by Secaucus Police Officers Leonardo Minervini and Dillon Genatt.
“This arrest is another example of the meticulous work performed by the Secaucus Police Traffic Bureau under the command of Lieutenant Giacomo Sallustio,” said Chief Dennis Miller. “This crash serves as a reminder that speeding and reckless driving poses a serious risk to the motoring public.”
Jobeth Manga was charged with one count of Assault by Auto [2C:12-1c(1)], a fourth-degree crime, Reckless Driving [39:4-96] and Speeding [39:4-98]. He was released on a summons pending his appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court. These charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
