Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge
Patrick Murray announce that at approximately 8:26 p.m. on March 5, 2026, members of the
Paterson Police Department were dispatched to St. Jospeh’s University Medical Center in Paterson
on a report of a shooting. Paterson Police met with a 40-year-old male victim from Paterson,
seeking treatment from a non-fatal gunshot wound. Members of the Paterson Police Department
were able to determine that the shooting took place in the area of Broadway and Church Street,
Paterson, New Jersey.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes
available.
