03/03/2026 – 2142 Hours – Warrant Arrest – 400 Bergen St
On March 3, 2026 at approximately 2142 hours, Officer Carlos Delgado observed a female known from prior police encounters standing outside the Quick Chek located at 400 Bergen Street. A warrant check confirmed that Linda Aquino (63) had two active ACS warrants, one out of Newark and another out of Deptford Township. Ms. Aquino was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing. She was later transferred to the custody of Deptford Police Department. Officers Jonathan Puglla, Nicole Yamuca, Alex Naprawa, and Anthony Cecere assisted.

03/04/2026 – 0135 Hours – Warrant Arrest Following Traffic Stop – 401 Bergen St
On March 4, 2026 at approximately 0135 hours, Officer Carlos Delgado conducted a motor vehicle stop on a black Jeep for equipment violations near 401 Bergen Street. The driver, Juliana DeOliveira-Santos (24), was found to have two active warrants, one from Harrison and another from Newark. She was arrested and transported to headquarters. After posting bail for the Harrison warrant, she was released with court dates and issued multiple motor vehicle summonses. Officers Santiago Gomez, Anthony Cecere, and Jonathan Puglla assisted.

03/04/2026 – 0245 Hours – Warrant Arrest – Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S & Riverbend Dr
On March 4, 2026 at approximately 0245 hours, Officer Jonathan Puglla conducted a pedestrian stop after observing a male walking in the roadway near Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard South and Riverbend Drive. The individual, Ismael Sanchez-Ortiz (24), was identified and found to have two active warrants out of Newark and North Bergen totaling $5,000. He was arrested and transported to headquarters. Both jurisdictions later authorized his release on recognizance. Officers Carlos Delgado and Alex Naprawa assisted.

03/04/2026 – 0248 Hours – Warrant Surrender – Harrison Police Headquarters
On March 4, 2026 at approximately 0248 hours, Officer Anthony Cecere responded to Harrison Police Headquarters where Eddie Monzon (29) arrived to turn himself in on an active $1,000 warrant issued by the Kearny Police Department. Mr. Monzon was secured and processed at headquarters until Kearny Police officers arrived and took custody of him without incident.

03/04/2026 – 2246 Hours – Warrant Arrest (Driver and Passenger) – 108 S 3rd St
On March 4, 2026 at approximately 2246 hours, Officer Carlos Delgado conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign near South 3rd Street. The driver, Khalis Sternes (46), was found to have an active Newark warrant and was placed under arrest. The passenger, Charisse Goodwin (31), was also found to have an active Jersey City warrant. Both individuals were taken into custody and transported to headquarters. Sternes was later released on recognizance by Newark authorities, while Goodwin was transported to Jersey City Police Department and turned over to their custody. Detective Sergeant Freddy Lecca, Officer Jonathan Puglla, and Officer Nicole Yamuca assisted.

Attempted Burglary Arrest - 03/07/2026 – 0245 Hours
While on patrol in the area of 225 Sussex St., PO Rueda observed a male pulling on the rear driver-side door handle of a gray 2022 Lexus IS. Upon approach, the male, identified as Julian A. Vega, stated he was “playing a game” and pulling on door handles for fun. Based on further investigation, Mr. Vega was placed under arrest for attempted burglary to auto.

Warrant Arrest - 03/07/2026 – 0158 Hours
While on patrol in the area of Harrison Ave, an PO Maitin observed a gray Dodge van traveling southbound on Hiram Pl before turning onto Harrison Ave eastbound. A random license plate inquiry revealed the registered owner had an active ATS warrant out of the Hasbrouck Heights Police Department. A motor vehicle stop was conducted in the area of Harrison Ave and Manor Ave. The driver was identified as Scott Wrocklage, the registered owner of the vehicle. Mr. Wrocklage was advised of the active warrant and placed under arrest without incident.

Warrant Arrest - 03/08/2026 – 2128 Hours
While on patrol in the area of Cleveland Ave and N 3rd St., PO Burgo observed a 2019 silver Chevrolet improperly displaying a front license plate and making an improper U-turn, causing traffic delays. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on the I-280 E ramp and Cleveland Ave.Upon approaching the vehicle, the driver was identified as Quashonda L. Thomas. A warrant check revealed Ms. Thomas had an active ATS warrant out of Newark. Ms. Thomas was advised of the warrant and placed under arrest without incident.

DWI Arrest - 03/09/2026 – 0218 Hours
While on patrol in the area of Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. S. and Riverbend Drive, PO Castellano observed a black 2024 Toyota Rav4 disregard a traffic control device. A motor vehicle stop was initiated; however, the vehicle briefly drove away before stopping again at Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. S. and Raymond Blvd., Newark. The driver, Jefferson P. Quinato-Cajo, was observed to have watery, bloodshot, glassy eyes and an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath. Officers also observed multiple open beer cans/bottles in the rear seat of the vehicle. Mr. Quinato-Cajo was asked to exit the vehicle and was escorted to the sidewalk where Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered. Based on the results of the tests, Mr. Quinato-Cajo was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.

Warrant Arrest - 03/09/2026 – 0008 Hours
While on patrol in the area of Frank E. Rodgers Blvd N and Harrison Ave, PO Gangi observed a gray 2016 Dodge Durango traveling without a front license plate displayed. A license plate inquiry revealed the registered owner had an active ATS warrant out of the Woodbridge Police Department. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S and Riverbend Dr. The driver was identified as Miracle G. Obi, the registered owner of the vehicle. Mr. Obi was advised of the active warrant and placed under arrest without incident.
