Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray announce that on March 11, 2026, at approximately 6:29 p.m., members
of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Carroll Street and Godwin Avenue
on a report of shots fired. When officers arrived on scene, they located the victim, an 18-year-old
male from Paterson, New Jersey, with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to
Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.
This investigation is active and ongoing. More information will be released when it becomes
available.
