Secaucus Police Blotter 04/27/2020 - 05/03/2020

Last week's arrests and incidents as released by the Secaucus police.

On 04/28/2020 at 3:28 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the rear parking lot area of the CVS located at 101 Plaza Centre Road on a report of a possible fight in progress following a shoplifting incident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 34 year old male, Jose Rosario of Jersey City, NJ for Robbery [2C:15-1A(1)], Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(3)(A)], Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A], Hindering Apprehension for Providing False Information [2C:29-3B(7)] and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery [2C:5-2A(1)]. Mr. Rosario was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 04/30/2020 at 2:15 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Sam’s Club located at 300 Park Plaza Drive on a report of possible fraudulent activity. During the investigation, a 16-year-old juvenile male of Brooklyn, NY fled on foot and was apprehended after a brief foot chase. He was charged with Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(2)], Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A], Fraudulent use of Credit Cards [2C:21-6H] and Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)]. The juvenile was released to a responsible adult. Two co-conspirators fled in a vehicle, which was pursued by responding officers. After a brief vehicle pursuit, the police arrested a 22 year old male, Mario Campaz of Brooklyn, NY for Eluding [2C:29-2B], Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)], Using a Juvenile to commit a Criminal Offense [2C:24-9A], Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A], Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(2)], Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)], Possession of a False Government Document [2C:21-2.1D] and Credit Card Theft [2C:21-6C(1)]. The police also arrested a 18 year old male, Gishanie Gray of Brooklyn, NY for Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A], Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)], Using a Juvenile to commit a Criminal Offense [2C:24-9A], Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)] and Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(2)]. Mr. Campaz was issued his complaint warrant along with 7 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. Mr. Gray was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 05/02/2020 at 11:52 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Home Depot on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 38 year old female, Taina Otero of Ridgefield Park, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)]. Ms. Otero was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Ridgefield Boro, NJ in the amount of $250.00. The police also arrested a 41 year old male, Julio Pineda of West New York, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A], Aggravated Assault on Law Enforcement [2C:12-1B(1)], three (3) counts of Terroristic Threats [2C:12-3A], Throwing Bodily Fluids at Law Enforcement [2C:12-13] and Committing an Unlawful Act During Threat of Emergency [A:9-49A]. Ms. Otero was served her complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. Mr. Pineda was served his complaint warrant along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
