Secaucus Police Blotter 06/08/2020 - 06/14/2020

On 06/09/2020 at 9:11 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Meadowlands Plaza Hotel located at 40 Wood Avenue on a report of a female who was possible being held against her will. During the investigation, the police arrested a 29 year old male, Cecilio Joseph of East Rutherford, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)], Possession of Prescription Legend Drugs [2C:35-10.5A(2)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Joseph was also found to have 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Garfield, NJ in the amount of $1,750.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Allendale, NJ in the amount of $500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Belleville, NJ in the amount of $250.00. The Police also arrested a 22 year old female, Jasmine Rodriguez of Paterson, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Ms. Rodriguez was also charged with Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to law enforcement. Both Mr. Joseph and Ms. Rodriguez were served their complaint arrants and were subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 06/11/2020 at 2:00 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 58 year old male, Oscar Rodriguez of Union City, NJ for Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to law enforcement. Mr. Rodriguez was served his complaint summons along with 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.

On 06/12/2020 at 12:11 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the La Quinta Inn located at 350 Lighting Way on a report of fraudulent credit card activity. During the investigation, the police arrested a 24 year old female, Linda Dovale of Dacula, GA for Fraudulent use of a Credit Card [2C:21-6H] and Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)]. Ms. Dovale was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 06/12/2020 at 4:05 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Restaurant Depot located at 777 Restaurant Depot for the purpose of a welfare check on children reported to be locked inside of a motor vehicle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 23 year old female, Yamelth Olivo-Rodriguez of Paterson, NJ for 2 counts of Endangering the Welfare of Children [2C:24-4A(2)]. Ms. Olivo-Rodriguez was served her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 06/13/2020 at 5:38 PM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot area of the Meadowlands Plaza Hotel located at 40 Wood Avenue. During the investigation, the police arrested a 38 year old male, Jamaal Cyrus of Jersey City, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Cyrus was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $340.00. Mr. Cyrus was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 06/14/2020 at 11:40 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24 year old male, David Baez of Passaic, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Passaic, NJ in the amount of $250.00. Mr. Baez was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.

On 06/14/2020 at 12:37 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 40 year old male, Sean Axner of Medford, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Crystal Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. The police also arrested a 43 year old male, Brian Glica of Willough Grove, PA for Possession of CDS believed to be Oxycodone [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Xanax [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Axner was served his complaint summons along with 2 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody. Mr. Glica was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
