Secaucus Police Blotter 08/31/2020 - 09/06/2020

On 09/01/2020 at 3:24 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 34 year old male, David Curiel of North Bergen, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Curiel was also charged with the Use of Personal Identifying Information of Another [2C:21-17.2A], Exhibiting False Government Documents [2C:21-2.1C], Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(1)] and Possession of CDS believed to be Oxycodone [2C:35-10A(1)]. Mr. Curiel was issued his complaint warrant along with his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated and an additional 12 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 09/01/2020 at 10:29 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Extended Stay America located at 1 Plaza Drive on a report of an assault. During the investigation, the police arrested a 24 year old male, Hakeem Carter of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of CDS believed to be Oxycodone [2C:35-10A(1)]. Mr. Carter was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 09/02/2020 at 2:20 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 35 year old male, Erick Acosta of Hoboken, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Seaside Heights, NJ in the amount of $400.00. The police also arrested a 42 year old female, Blanca Oleas of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $5,000.00 with a 10% option along with 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Mr. Acosta was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody. Ms. Oleas was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office.

On 09/02/2020 at 4:01 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of Meadowlands Parkway and Cove Court on a report of a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 28 year old male, Michael Pendleton of Arlington Heights, IL for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Pendleton was served his complaint summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 1 additional motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody after the appropriate amount of time elapsed in which Mr. Pendleton showed no signs of impairment.

On 09/02/2020 at 9:37 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 32 year old male, Clifton Figaro of West New York, NJ for Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-5B(11)], Possession of CDS with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Marijuana within 500 Feet of a Public Building [2C:35-7.1A], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Marijuana within 1000 feet of School Property [2C:35-7A], Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(3)], Possession with intent to Distribute Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-3] and Possession of CDS believed to be Psilocybin [2C:35-10A(1)]. Mr. Figaro was issued his complaint warrant along with 4 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 09/02/2020 at 7:15 PM, in furtherance of an investigation being conducted by the Secaucus Police Detective Bureau in regards to a Burglary incident that occurred at PSE&G located at 325 County Avenue on 01/28/2020, Secaucus Police arrested a 48 year old male, Lewrence Miguel of Mount Ephraim, NJ for Conspiracy to commit Burglary [2C:5-2A(1)]. Mr. Ephraim was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 09/02/2020 at 10:09 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the dead end of 2nd Avenue on a report of an individual reported to be sleeping in a motor vehicle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 53 year old male, Joseph Hartwig of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Hartwig was served his complaint summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 2 additional motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 09/03/2020 at 10:30 PM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious male in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn located at 15 Meadowlands Parkway. During the investigation, the police arrested a 24 year old male, Nunzio Gangi of Lyndhurst, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Gangi was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 09/04/2020 at 12:44 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 26 year old male, Joshua Dilones of Bayonne, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $2,000.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Dilones was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 6 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 09/04/2020 at 9:06 PM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the rear of Route 3 East Liquors on 3rd Avenue. During the investigation, the police arrested a 50 year old male, David Vega Jr. of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of CDS believed to be Crack Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)]. Mr. Vega Jr. was issued his complaint summons along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 09/05/2020 at 1:03 PM, Secaucus Police were alerted to a fraud occurring at the Sam’s Club located at 300 Park Plaza Drive. During the investigation, the police arrested a 20 year old male, Balal Zindani of Brooklyn, NY for Fraudulent use of a Credit Card [2C:21-6H] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)]. Mr. Zindani was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 09/05/2020 at 2:54 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of the Route 3 East Service Road near Raymour and Flanagan. During the investigation, the police arrested a 37 year old male, Charles Clark of Rochester, NY along with a 35 year old female, Shannon Chandler of Rochester, NY for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Clark was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody. Ms. Chandler was served her complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 09/05/2020 at 9:19 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Roadway Inn located at 155 Route 3 East on a report of an individual at that location that was refusing to leave the premises. During the investigation, the police arrested a 48 year old male, Antonio McNeill of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Trenton, NJ in the amount of $250.00 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $100.00. Mr. McNeill was further charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)], Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. McNeill was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 09/05/2020 at 11:15 PM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked near the Duck Pond located at 55 Metro Way. During the investigation, the police arrested a 21 year old male, Christopher Medina of Union City, NJ for Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2] and Being Under the Influence of a CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10B]. The police also arrested a 23 year old female, Kassandra Beauchamp-Garay of Jersey City, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Being Under the Influence of a CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10B]. Ms. Beauchamp-Garay was served her complaint summons and was released from police custody. Mr. Medina was served his complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 09/06/2020 at 8:59 PM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious male in the area of Buchmuller Park located at 150 Plaza Centre Road. During the investigation, the police arrested a 35 year old male, Matthew Fusco of Hoboken, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)]. Mr. Fusco was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
