The Secaucus Police Anti-Crime Unit developed information that Darryl Rodriguez a.k.a. “Pharaoh”, a Union City resident, was supplying a variety of drugs to Secaucus residents. As a result of this information, the Secaucus Police Anti-Crime Unit and the Union City Police Department’s Quality of Life Unit collaboratively conducted a narcotics investigation. At the culmination of a two-month long investigation, Darryl Rodriguez a.k.a. “Pharaoh” was arrested and a search of his 39th Street apartment was conducted.

During a search of the apartment, over 25 lbs of suspected edible marijuana candy along with over 8 lbs of suspected marijuana were seized. Over 1.5 lbs of suspected THC Oil along with over 400 THC Oil Vape Cartridges were also seized. Also, 135 suspected Adderall pills, over 600 pills of suspected Xanax, a quantity of Psilocybin Mushrooms was seized. $28,874.00 in suspected drug proceeds were seized along with a stun gun. Additional items seized during the search were indicative that Darryl Rodriguez a.k.a. “Pharaoh” was using the residence to grow mushrooms and convert marijuana into THC Oil for street sale, to further his illicit drug distribution scheme.

“As I stated in my promotional speech, the Secaucus Police Department will work collaboratively with outside law enforcement agencies to pursue and apprehend criminals that affect the quality of life of the residents of Secaucus. The ongoing partnership between the Union City and Secaucus Police Departments will help to inhibit drug distribution operations within the town,” Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said.

“Those that engage in criminal conduct are not hampered by jurisdictional boundaries. As such, operations like this are imperative in combating illegal activity. Working together with our law enforcement partners and our community, we foster better relationships, build trust and enhance public safety for all,” Union City Police Chief Nichelle Luster said.
