Secaucus Police Blotter 11/01/2021 - 11/07/2021

On 11/01/2021 at 7:45 AM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to a burglary and theft into a trailer that occurred at UPS located at 493 County Ave on 10/18/2021 and 10/25/2021, the police arrested a 25 year old male, Ricky Sanchez of Union City, NJ for Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)] and Theft [2C:20-3A]. Mr. Sanchez was charged with 3 counts of Burglary and 3 counts of Theft for the incidents took place at UPS on 10/18/2021, 10/25/2021 and 11/01/2021. Mr. Sanchez was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 11/01/2021 at 12:56 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 30 year old male, Tom Hernandez of Trenton, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office with no bail, along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hamilton, NJ in the amount of $550.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Princeton Township, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Hernandez was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses. Officer’s from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to take custody of Mr. Hernandez for transport back to their agency.

On 11/02/2021 at 2:38 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 33 year old male, Jesse Kennard of New York, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D]. Mr. Kennard was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 11/03/2021 at 1:53 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 30 year old male, Dexter George of Fair Lawn, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Fair Lawn, NJ in the amount of $225.00 with a 10% option. Fair Lawn released Mr. George on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. George was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 11/03/2021 at 3:32 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the 700 block of 7th Street on a report of an intoxicated female. During the investigation, the police arrested a 56 year old female of Secaucus, NJ for Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(2)]. The involved female was served her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 11/03/2021 at 9:11 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 28 year old male, Andre McDuffy of Linden, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Elizabeth, NJ in the amount of $500.00 with a 10% option. Mr. McDuffy was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 11/04/2021 at 3:26 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in regards to a dispute that took place at Riverside Station Boulevard on 10/29/2021, the police arrested a 33 year old male, Carlos Sierra of Secaucus, NJ for Harassment [2C:33-4E]. Mr. Sierra was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 11/04/2021 at 6:04 PM, Officer’s from the Jersey City Police Department responded to the Secaucus Police Department and transferred custody of a 29 year old male, Mark Kimelman of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $100.00. Mr. Kimelman was unable to post bail for the involved warrant. The Secaucus Municipal Court did release Mr. Kimelman on his own recognizance pending a future court date and he was released from police custody.

On 11/06/2021 at 10:19 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 28 year old male, Edwin Ruiz of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $5,000.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Ruiz was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 4 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
