On 06/16/2022 at 10:40 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 22 year old male, Mohammed Ahmed of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jefferson, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00 with a 10% option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Wood-Ridge, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Elizabeth, NJ in the amount of $550.00 with a 10% option. Wood-Ridge did release Mr. Ahmed on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Ahmed was able to post bail for both warrants issued out of Jefferson, NJ and Elizabeth, NJ. Mr. Ahmed was issued 4 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody.

On 06/19/2022 at 1:35 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of Paterson Plank Road and Route 3 East on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 23 year old male, Philip Casey of South Orange, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Casey was issued his motor vehicle summonses for Driving While Intoxicated along with a motor vehicle summons for Reckless Driving [39:4-96] and was released into the custody for a responsible adult.

On 06/19/2022 at 10:42 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 59 year old male, Ivan Vasconez of Newark, NJ for Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to police. Mr. Vasconez was issued his complaint summons and he was released from police custody.

On 06/19/2022 at 4:30 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of individuals posing as Walmart employees. During the investigation, the police arrested an 18 year old male, Brisean Mack of Phillipsburg, NJ for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, a knife [2C:39-5D] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to law enforcement. Mr. Mack was issued his complaint summons and he was released from police custody.

On 6/19/2022 at 11:01 PM, Secaucus Police attempted to stop a motor vehicle for reckless driving in the area of 1st Street and Paterson Plank Rd. However, the vehicle did not stop and eluded police, ultimately crashing her vehicle in the area of her Grace Avenue residence. Johana Alcivar, 33, of Secaucus was charged with Eluding [2C:29-2b], Driving while Intoxicated [39:4-50] and Endangering the Welfare of Children [2C:24-4], since minors were within her vehicle. She was lodged in the Hudson County Jail. Also within the vehicle was Nelson Villegas-Rios, 31, of Secaucus. He was found to have an active warrant from Secaucus with a bail of $300.00 and an active warrant from Millburn with a bail of $1,000.00. Officers from the Millburn Police Department took custody of him and transported him to the Millburn Police Department.
