November 8, 2022, General Election Poll Workers Needed

Hudson County, NJ - The Hudson County Clerk's Office and the Hudson County Board of Elections are seeking poll workers for the November 2022 General Election for early voting and Election Day, in all twelve Hudson County municipalities.

Why should you apply? Your community needs you! By staffing a polling location, you will: earn $21.43 per hour on in-person early voting days and $300 on Election Day. See our great democracy in action, firsthand, and enjoy the feeling that comes with contributing to your local community, your state, and your country.

Who can apply? You can apply to serve as a poll worker in New Jersey if you are:
  • A United States citizen and a resident of New Jersey.
  • Registered voter in the county in which you reside, are at least 16 years of age.
  • College and high school students are encouraged to apply. Note: Those under 18 years of age will work limited hours per shift and do not have to be registered to vote. Contact the Hudson County Clerk's Office or the County Board of Elections for farther information.

Please note you cannot be a poll worker if you are running as a candidate in this election.

Possible work dates for the in-person early voting period and Election Day. Hours and days may vary. Early voting begins on October 29, 2022, and ends on November 6, 2022 polls are open Monday-Saturday lOAM-8:00PM and Sunday l0AM-6:00PM. and the General Election will be held on November 8, 2022 polls are open 6:00AM-8:00PM.
