Secaucus Police Blotter 12/17/18 - 12/23/18

Last week's arrests and incidents as released by the Secaucus police.

On 12/17/2018 at 11:01 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 26 year old male, Armando Umpierre of Newark, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Umpierre was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses, served his complaint summons and was released from custody.

On 12/17/2018 at 7:48 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 22 year old male, Kanard White of Jersey City, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Jersey City, NJ with no bail. Mr. Kanard was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Jersey City Police Department.

On 12/17/2018 at 10:00 PM, Secaucus Police responded to UPS located at 493 County Ave on a report of a disorderly employee. During the investigation, the police arrested a 30 year old male, Marquis Jeffries of Jersey City, NJ for an outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Essex County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Mr. Jeffries was subsequently transported to the Essex County Jail.

On 12/18/2018 at 9:10 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 30 year old female, Alissa Brown of Passaic, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Garfield, NJ in the amount of $1000.00. Ms. Brown was able to post bail for the warrant, was served 4 motor vehicle summonses and was released from custody.

On 12/19/2018 at 10:48 AM, Secaucus Police responded to UPS located at 47 Hartz Way on a report of 2 individuals stealing scrap metal. During the investigation, the police arrested a 55 year old male, Willie Davenport of Jersey City, NJ and a 47 year old male, Jerard Craig of Newark, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A]. Mr. Davenport was further charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Craig was served his complaint summons and was released from custody. Mr. Davenport was served his complaint warrant along with 4 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 12/19/2018 at 3:00 PM, a 35 year old female, Justine Marquard of Passaic, NJ was processed for the charges of Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)] stemming from a shoplifting incident that occurred at Home Depot on 10/31/2018. Ms. Marquard was processed and was released from custody pending her appearance in court.

On 12/19/2018 at 9:21 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of 8Th Street and Front Street on a report of a suspicious male on the private property of a residence in that area. During the investigation, the police arrested a 39 year old male, Noel Figueroa of Jersey City, NJ for Possession of Hypodermic Needles [2C:36-6A], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2], Criminal Trespassing [2C:18-3C] and Hindering Apprehension for Providing False Information [2C:29-3A(7)]. Mr. Figueroa was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 12/20/2018 at 1:31 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Quatros Amigos restaurant located at 217 Route 3 East on a report of an intoxicated and disorderly patron. During the investigation, the police arrested a 27 year old male, Emad Ali of Paterson, NJ for Disorderly Conduct [2C:33-2A(1)], Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(3)(A)] and Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer [2C:12-1B(5)(A)] for spitting at an officer and biting an officer’s hand. Mr. Ali was served his complaint summonses and was released from custody.

On 12/21/2018 at 5:21 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of 101 Plaza Centre on a report of an assault. During the investigation, the police arrested a 47 year old male, Gregg Desort of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Desort was further charged with DUI Refusal [39:4-50.4A]. Mr. Desort was served his summonses and was released to the custody of a responsible adult.

On 12/21/2018 at 9:59 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Morris County Park Police Department to take custody of a 40 year old male, Peter Mandas of Mendham, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1000.00. Mr. Mandas was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from custody.

On 12/23/2018 at 9:07 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Red Roof Inn on a report of a 911 call that was disconnected. During the investigation, the police arrested a 27 year old male, Jermaine Williams of Jersey City, NJ for the charges of Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)] and Robbery [2C:15-1A(1)]. Mr. Williams was also found to have 2 outstanding warrants out of New Brunswick, NJ with no bail. Mr. Williams was served his complaint warrant and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
